I have an exciting semester planned for the class with someone being selected at the end as "The Entrepreneur".
“The Entrepreneur” is a challenge where you will endure rigorous tasks completed as a team to determine who is the most deserving to receive the title “The Entrepreneur”. Tasks will incorporate various aspects of business: sales, marketing, promotions, charities, finance, advertising pitches and management. Teams will be given difficult assignments and will be forced to think outside the box in order to outshine each other to get to the top.
You will spend the first several weeks in class preparing for the competition. You will learn more about yourself as both a leader and team member, and you will learn the business skills that you will need to incorporate in your future tasks. Once the competition begins, we will either spend class time going over new material to prepare you for the next task, or you will be you working with your team on an assigned task.
The members of the team with the most wins at the end of the competition will each receive a $50 scholarship to be awarded at the end of the school year. After each task, team members will complete a confidential Task Evaluation Form rating their leader and each team member. The person receiving the highest total score during the competition will be honored as “The Entrepreneur” and will receive a $100 scholarship to be awarded on Awards Day.
I hope this class will be a wonderful opportunity for you to learn more about yourself as a leader, apply what you have learned in class to complete projects and tasks, receive the opportunity to manage your team, and have a little friendly competition along the way. Do you have what it takes to become “The Entrepreneur”?
